// Tickets & the Vault

Tickets & the Vault

How do refunds work?+−

If an event is cancelled, you're refunded automatically and in full — including the Festro service fee — to your original payment method. If you can no longer attend, you can transfer your ticket for free, or on sold-out events list it for official resale and get refunded if it resells. Beyond that, each organizer sets its own refund policy. Full details are in the Purchase and Cancellation policies.

Can I transfer a ticket to a friend?+−

If the organizer's got transfers on (most do), open the ticket in your Vault and tap Transfer. Your friend needs a Festro account at the email you send it to. Transfers lock 2 hours before doors, so don't leave it too late.

What's the difference between a reservation and a ticket?+−

For free or invite-only events, you reserve a spot — no payment, the organizer just holds it for you. For paid events, you get a ticket once you pay. Both land in your Vault and scan at the door the same way.

// Discovering events

Discovering events

How do I find events near me?+−

Open Explore to see what's on. Filter by When (today, this weekend, a specific day), price (free or paid), and genre to zero in on the nights you actually care about.

How do I save an event for later?+−

Tap the heart on any event to save it. Saved events live under the Saved tab in your Vault, so you can come back and grab a ticket before it sells out — saving costs you nothing.

What happens when I follow an organizer?+−

Following an organizer adds their new events to your feed and lets them ping you the moment they announce something. You choose how you hear about it — push, email, or both — globally or per organizer in your notification settings.

Can I add events to my calendar?+−

Yep. Once you've reserved or bought a ticket, sync it to your calendar — turn on Google Calendar sync to have your RSVP'd events flow into a dedicated Festro calendar automatically, or grab the one-off calendar link straight from the event.

I didn't get my verification code.+−

Codes can take up to 60 seconds. Check spam and make sure no email forwarding rule is eating it. Still nothing after 2 minutes? Hit Resend on the verify screen.

How do I change my email?+−

Settings → Account → Email address. We'll send a verification link to your new email. Your old address stays active until you click it.

How do I delete my account?+−

Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. You'll need to type DELETE to confirm. We keep anonymized attendance records for fraud prevention, but everything else is gone within 30 days.

How do I become an organizer?+−

Click Get started on the dashboard organizer CTA, or head to /organizer/request. The whole activation flow takes about 5 minutes — name, brand profile, payout method, done.

What's the platform fee?+−

On paid tickets, buyers pay a small Festro service fee on top of the organizer's price (currently 8% + C$0.30 per ticket), included in the all-in price shown at checkout. Organizers keep 100% of the price they set, and free events have no fee. Founder organizers pay 0%. Full terms are in the Organizer Payments Agreement.

How does door check-in work?+−

Each organizer gets a scanner view at /organizer/<your-org>/door: pick the event, then scan or search to check tickets in. It works offline too — scans queue on the device and sync automatically once you are back online, so a bad venue signal never blocks the door.

// Artist pages

Artist pages

What is an artist page?+−

An artist page is a public profile for a performer at festro.com/artists/<slug> — a name, bio, photo and banner, social links, and an automatic history of the nights they've played and any upcoming bills. Anyone can see it; only the person who's claimed it can edit it.

How do lineups connect to artist pages?+−

When an organizer adds an act to an event's lineup, they can link it to its artist page. Linked acts become tappable on the event — they carry the artist's photo, open festro.com/artists/<slug>, and the night gets added to that artist's history. Plain free-text acts that aren't linked just stay as text and don't build a history.

How do I claim my artist page?+−

Open your artist page and tap "Request to manage." Pick how you're connected (you're the artist, a manager, agent, label, or publicist) and drop at least one proof link — your official site, Instagram, SoundCloud, or Spotify, anything that shows the act is yours. A Festro moderator reviews every claim, usually within 72 hours, and we'll email you when it's decided. No instant self-serve claim here — the page stays exactly as it is until a moderator signs off.

How do I edit my profile once it's claimed?+−

Once your claim's approved you'll see an Edit button on your artist page. From there, change your name, bio, profile photo, banner, and the platforms you link (Instagram, SoundCloud, Spotify, website). Renaming is safe — your public link stays the same, the slug at festro.com/artists/<slug> doesn't move when you rename, so existing links keep working.

What is the verified badge?+−

The "Verified artist" badge marks pages Festro has confirmed as the genuine act. Claiming your page is step one; verification is granted separately by our team and isn't something you can switch on yourself.

// Safety & community

Safety & community

I feel unsafe at an event right now — what should I do?+−

If you're in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first — Festro can't dispatch help. Once you're safe, find the organizer or venue staff on site, then report the event to us so we can follow up and warn others if needed.

How do I report an event, organizer, or artist?+−

Open the event, organizer, or artist page and use Report (in the ⋯ menu). Tell us what happened in your own words — every report goes to Festro's trust & safety team, gets reviewed by a human, and is never shared with the person you reported.

Someone is harassing me or behaving badly — what can I do?+−

Report them from the relevant page or message and, if you'd rather talk to a person, use Talk to a human below. We take harassment, threats, hate speech, and impersonation seriously and act on confirmed violations, up to removing the account.

What's not allowed on Festro?+−

Harassment, hate speech, threats, impersonation, scams, and events that promote harm have no place here. Organizers are responsible for the safety of their events; attendees are expected to treat each other with respect. Confirmed violations lead to content removal or account action.
