Overview
This Cookie Policy explains how the Festro website (festro.com) uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy. The Festro mobile app does not use cookies; it uses the SDKs described in the Privacy Policy.
We use optional cookies only with your consent. When you first visit, no analytics cookie or identifier is stored: our analytics provider is loaded in a consent-denied mode, in which it may register that a page was viewed but cannot write to your device or recognize you across visits. Error-monitoring session replay does not run at all. Both switch on only when you opt in through our consent banner, and you can change your choice at any time (see Section 4).
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. “Similar technologies” include things like local storage and software development kits (SDKs) that perform comparable functions. We group them by purpose below.
Cookies we use
Strictly necessary (always on)
These are required for the site to work — for example, to keep you signed in, to secure forms, and to remember your cookie choice (the `festro_consent` cookie, which lasts about six months). They do not require consent.
We also use Google reCAPTCHA (via Firebase App Check) to distinguish real visitors from automated abuse and protect our forms and API. It runs in the background, may set a cookie, and collects device and usage signals that Google processes under its privacy terms. Because it is necessary to keep the Service secure, it does not require consent.
Analytics (consent required)
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Google Analytics is present on every page, but until you opt in it runs in a consent-denied mode: it may register that a page was viewed, and it sets no cookie and stores no identifier on your device. Only after you opt in can it store anything or recognize you across visits.
Error monitoring (consent required)
With your consent, we use Sentry (including session replay) to detect and diagnose errors and improve reliability. These load only after you opt in.
We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell or share your information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Managing your choices
You can grant or withdraw consent for optional cookies at any time using the control below. Withdrawing consent stops future optional processing.
Current: not setYou can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and most browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site from working.
Third parties
Optional cookies are set by Google (Analytics) and Sentry (error monitoring), which process data under their own privacy terms. See the Privacy Policy for how we share information and where it is processed.
Google also provides reCAPTCHA and Firebase App Check as a strictly necessary security service (see Section 3); Google processes the related data under its own privacy terms.
Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time and will update the “Last updated” date above when we do.
